By Gone North Games

A Story About My Uncle is coming to Steam on May 28th and we've fallen in love with the Gameplay trailer!

After viewing that cool trailer we had to find out more about this cool looking video game!

So here's what we found out.......

A Story About My Uncle is a First-Person platform adventure game built using the Unreal Engine.

It's billed as a non violent game and has the feel of Mirrors Edge about it...

It's a story about a boy who searches for his lost uncle and ends up in a world he could never have imagined....

The movement through the game world is seen as the crucial part of the core gameplay.

It focuses on swinging yourself through caverns with a grappling hook mechanic that has been built to give the sense of speed and freedom.

You will get to soar through a game world whilst a mysterious story unravels before you....

When we took a look at the game development time-line we found that....

"A Story About My Uncle started out as a university project, and was quickly nominated for Game of the Year in the Swedish Game Awards in 2012.

The short demo has been picked up by Rock Paper Shotgun and has been available for free download since 2012. "

So what happens now?

Well, now the game will be remade, finished off, polished, and released on Steam.
