Last Sunday I had a friend and his wife over for lunch
(not very Retrogaming I hear you cry)
Whilst we were chatting I said to him….."Fancy a game of Super Mario Kart?"
When I explained to him that we'd be playing the original SNES Super Mario Kart on the Wii his mind imploded and his face lit up like an 8 year old at Christmas!
Once we got playing and I explained how all this was possible he was hooked!
Finally he could breathe some life into his dusty Wii that sits lifeless under the TV for months on end.
Needless to say he has asked for instructions on how to achieve retrogaming emulation perfection through the Soft Modding of the good ol' Wii and I will happily oblige like a Retrogaming Prophet bringing joy to the masses as we all re-discover the classics through the use of emulation……"Hallelujah, praise The Wii!"
Anyway, whilst we played 50cc GP to get him back into the swing of things, he said to me
"What game should I get?"
That's when I started to think about the finest games across all the retrogaming systems and consoles…..how could I recommend the finest piece of retrogaming entertainment in the world right now to my mate Deano?
Well, I thought that you lot might be able to help Deano by becoming judges in the Games Freezer Retrogaming World Cup 2015!
How Will It Work?
I'm going to pick 24 random but absolutely cracking games from years gone by that are available to be played on emulation software.
From this elite set of 24 I will make a draw of who will 'play' who.
Once we have a fixture list the versus match ups will be played via the magic of Twitter.
Games Freezer Twitter Followers will then vote on the winner of the match through the use of Retweet Or Favourite
All games are knockout matches.
In the event of a draw I will decide the winner.
This should be a good laugh and an excuse for me to post lots of Twitter Pics about cool retro games!
