The PLAY Expos are my favourite video gaming events of the year and it's about the right time to start getting excited about these awesome gaming times that await us in 2016, so just for you here's the lowdown of these cool shows..........
There are two events coming in the next few months – PLAY Expo Blackpool (now in its third year) and PLAY Expo Glasgow.
These are in addition to the amazing PLAY Expo Manchester which has already been confirmed for 8th and 9th of October.
PLAY Expo Blackpool - 30 April – 1 May 2016 &
PLAY Expo Glasgow - 11 June – 12 June 2016
The arcade, indie and retro games show returns for its third year with all your favourite bits and some new ones to boot!
The show will be crammed with more features, exhibitors and even more video gaming mayhem than last year.
With everything I love about gaming under one roof, the show will have something for everyone and is one NOT to be missed…
PLAY Expo will help you relive your classic arcade gaming memories with a selection of classic arcade machines for you to play on with every one set to free play.
If you come to PLAY Expo you get to celebrate the glorious world of LAN gaming without having to worry about where everyone will fit their monitors!
If you’re a pinball wizard you will be pleased to hear that for 2016 PLAY will have a number of Pinball machines and of course they will all be set to free play.
Anyone who has been to a PLAY Expo before will know that PLAY specialise in retro and this year they intend to bring the best retro display Britain has ever seen!
PLAY are proud to announce that Dark Cleo Productions will be bringing their board and card games to PLAY Expo.
Last year PLAY introduced Minecraft to the event and it went down a storm, so they have confirmed that once again PLAY will be bringing a dedicated Minecraft area to PLAY Expo Blackpool.
Fans of Cosplay will be pleased to hear that PLAY will be hosting a cosplay masquerade both days at PLAY Expo with prizes for the best characters as chosen by a panel of judges.
PLAY will also have a great line up of Indie titles, Dance and Rhythm games, Next-Gen gaming, merchandise stalls and much more to be announced soon.
