After my Uncharted Journey had finished I haven't wasted much time in taking on my next video gaming challenge on the PS4.

That challenge involves sitting in a tower in a national park looking out for fires.

Yes, you've guessed it, I have purchased the beautiful Firewatch.

I've spent around an hour or so with it so far and i'm hooked.

This game is a thing of beauty in every sense. It draws you in with a story that is touching and has you hooked from minute one with an interesting predicament that you as the character find yourself in.

You are then thrust into Day 1 of a new job in the Forest as you hike to your very own watch tower.

The scenery you walk through is inspiring and you really feel like it's just you, a map and a trusty compass versus whatever the day throws at you.

It's a slow paced game but I love that in a game sometimes. It's a contrast to my time with Nathan Drake & Co. in Uncharted and is a welcome change of gear for the next few gaming sittings that I undertake.

It's early days in in my Firewatch adventure but it seems that the relationship I am building with my manager on the end of the walkie talkie will be critical to the storyline.

I don't want to spoil anything I have discovered or experienced so far for others who are yet to play the game but I have got to day 3 and it really feels like I am beginning to enjoy this wonderful forest with all its surprises and beauty it has to offer me.

It's taking me back to being a kid in Epping Forest where every turn on a hike would lead me and  my friends to a new discovery or a hidden piece of natural wonderment.

I know I am going to love this game already and I can't wait to share my experience with you all.

Some people have said it's best to experience the whole game in one sitting but I feel like I want to make this awesomeness last a bit longer however, the story is developing in a way that makes me want to keep playing!

Have You Played Firewatch?

What Are Your Thoughts On This Brilliant Game?
