☆ 2016 -The PS4 Diaries Part 19 "Turn Based Combat Perfection" ☆ #PS4 #GamersUnite

1. A video game that is beautiful

2. A video game that sounds mystical and fantastical

3. A video game that sweeps you away into a mystical world

These are three things that I was not expecting from Child Of Light on my PS4 when I purchased it for £3.99!

I took a punt on this game as I had heard so many good things about it previously.

The thing is this game is not normally my type of thing. I'm not a turn based combat lover as I have always found it quite stilted and clumsy.

Playing this game though has opened my eyes to turn based combat perfection.

I started out thinking that for £3.99 I couldn't really go wrong and that I'd probably get bored of the turn based grind after a little while but I was very wrong.

The beauty of this game is that it manages to tell a fairy tale whilst also drawing you into the exploration of the beautifully crafted world.

The characters are a bunch of misfits and outcasts from across the game world and each one is memorable. You will get to care for each one of them by the end.

The one area that I feel it doesn't excel is the games constant pursuit of rhyming prose which doesn't quite come off BUT you can forgive this beautiful game because it does so much right.

When I completed this marvel of a game it did feel short but the game does allow you to play on beyond the main storyline if you wish to continue exploring the beautifully drawn world.

I'd suggest that anyone who hasn't sampled this enchanted video game needs to spend their weekly pocket money on this piece of awesomeness immediately!
