Saying that something never changes is not necessarily a slur or a derogatory remark against it and in this case, I'm happy to say it's a compliment.
It took me a while but I eventually got down to playing Fallout 4. I'd been looking forward to this moment forever and late last year I began playing and I haven't stopped playing since.
My problem is that I probably average around 5 hours play time per week and this game demands so much more as it's so huge and I'm not even making a dent in it yet!
For me, there isn't a massive evolution of the formula here but I tell you something, I still love this game even if it is just another Fallout 3!
The building element is kind of fun but clunky. The skills tree is kinda cool even if it took me a while for my brain to work it out as I'm easily confused. But essentially the game of Fallout is still the game of Fallout 3 that I fell in love with on my XBOX 360 but it looks better.
The only thing that I haven't found so far is a skin-crawling moment that made me as uncomfortable as desolate exploration made me feel in some areas of Fallout 3. Maybe I'll never feel that way again as I have been desensitized to the Fallout nastiness over the years. Although the DC Metro will always be a scary place no matter how many times I play. Although now I come to think of it, who remembers the 'Dunwich Building' !!?? Creepy Stuff to say the least.
So now I'm a few months in I am still enjoying my journey as I plunder the side quests and try to build my character up before I begin a full onslaught on the main quest.
