🚛🚚 Convoy | Review | "If George Miller and John Carpenter Met up in the 80’s and Decided to Make a Game" 🚛🚚 @convoy_games #IndieGames #GameDev

If George Miller and John Carpenter met up in the 80’s and decided to make a game, Convoy would be the result!

Set in a dystopian Maesteg*, the objective of the game is protect your MCV while traversing the planet in search of parts to repair your damaged spaceship.
Sounds easy, right?
You try doing this without getting distracted by the awesome soundtrack!
As you search the planet you need protection and to surround yourself with armed Escorts or Units that have been given A-Team treatment in your garage.
The idea is to tactfully position them in a point-and-click fashion to defend your convoy as you’re attacked from all angles like Trump at a press conference.

The game looks and sounds great and will fit into your lockdown schedule perfectly. It’s basically an 8-bit Mad Max minus the dog and an old family photo.
The only oil leak for me in this game is that when you’ve lost your Units (the only things protecting your Convoy) you’re basically driving helpless into the wastelands as the MCV cannot be controlled and you’re left open for attack, so you drive on like an unarmed pimped up Ford Alegro until you’re destroyed and it’s GAME OVER...
or maybe I’m playing it wrong, probably the latter...

*it’s not set in a small mining town in Wales

If you’re a fan on the genre this will really wet your dipstick.
