The HC2 is chunky with a premium feel – medium-sized earcups (or do I just have massive ears?*) and a robust headband.

Connectivity is via a 3.5mm jack, meaning it’s compatible with pretty much anything.

The mic is detachable/optional, attaching to the body of the headset via another 3.5mm jack, so if you’re a listener rather than a talker - this could work for you.

The mic can be adjusted, but only moves left and right rather than up and down, so there’s a chance that it may not be perfectly level with your mouth, but the quality of the microphone means that your voice will be picked up clearly.

Volume is controlled by a wheel halfway along the lengthy cable, and there’s a toggle switch for the mute function which shows red when you’re muted and green when not. 

Sound quality is great both for party and game chat. The box says, ‘crystal clear audio’ and I can’t really argue with that.
