1MORE ComfoBuds 2 True Wireless Headphones Review By Britt "GF Recommended!" 🎧 @1MoreGlobal

This is the first product that we’ve covered here at GF from 1MORE, and the last week that I’ve spent with them has been impressive in terms of how they deliver on the claims stated on the product website.

The 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 have gone from being something I initially had no expectations of these becoming my go-to earbuds for daily use, especially when in the office due to their longevity, practicality and snazziness.

When you pop open the box, you’ll find a short USB-C charging cable, the earbuds themselves, and a tablet-shaped black box (I was sent the Galaxy Black earbuds for review, although they are also available in Mica White).

The instructions included are image-driven and easy enough to work out, and after a few hours of charging, I was ready to rock.

Connectivity was absolutely no issue, and thus my time with the 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 began.

First off – discomfort is not an issue here, they fit into my ears perfectly, and the lightness of the earbuds belies the kick that they have in their sonic qualities. I didn’t find them overly noise-cancelling, which turned out to be a boon, as they have a great, full sound, but I was always aware of environmental sounds around me, such as other colleagues trying to get my attention in the office or vehicles etc. when walking around a city.

It took away the creeping neuroses I seem to have when I use true noise-cancelling earbuds, whereby sometimes I feel like something is happening around me that I should really be aware of, but I’m completely closed off to the outside world.

I listened to a few different styles of audio through the 1MORE ComfoBuds 2, ranging from whispered ASMR to guided meditations via podcasts and various styles of music.

The earbuds deal with ASMR worst of all, the hyper-sensitive microphones used in this situation don’t really mesh well with the 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 design, in that the earbuds seem to accentuate the hushed incidental, environmental noise, causing sonic artefacts and a gentle hissing.

Luckily, everything else was completely groovy. Podcasts were booming and rich, and the music I listened to was weighty and rounded with the only noticeable thing being that in slightly more lo-fi recordings, the 1MORE ComfoBuds would tend to focus more on the treble, giving a slightly noticeable sibilance to vocals and a tartness to cymbals.

I listened to two of my own albums through the earbuds – which I’m extremely familiar with – and I found the gutsy throatiness of the 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 to really work with rock and heavier genres of music, that slightly gritty loudness brings the audio to life.

There’s also a design feature that automatically pauses the audio whenever you remove the earbuds from your ears, this feature is an absolute lifesaver in my office where interruptions are relatively constant, and the fact I didn’t have to open my phone screen, pause – and then repeat the process a few seconds later was such a quality of life addition, awesome design move by 1MORE that I appreciate very much.

SUMMARY

In summary, 1MORE has really impressed us here at GF HQ, and we are glad they popped up on our radar with these robust, well-designed, gutsy and affordable earbuds that have ensured that they’ve sneaked their way into my daily life. Good!
