1MORE Sonoflow Wireless Active Noise Cancelling Headphones Review🎧 @1MoreGlobal

1MORE are a new brand to us at GF HQ, but they are making quite an impact! In a recent review, I covered the 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 – a product which also made a great impression – and so it was with relatively high expectations that I approached the 1MORE Sonoflow headphones...and those expectations were certainly met, in fact – they almost quite literally blew my mind.

In terms of packaging, the 1MORE Sonoflow headphones come in a sturdy dark grey case, very solid in build with a subtle finish that feels quite generous with its inclusion. Inside the case are the headphones as well as a USB-C charging cable and a 3.5mm jack-to-jack cable for wired connection to your various devices.

The headphones charge quickly. The website states that 5 minutes of charge gives you 5 hours of listening time and I can believe that, it seemed like they were fully charged within the hour, good! The packaging states that the 1MORE Sonoflow lasts for up to 70 hours on a full charge, so even with ANC using more power – more on that later – these are perfect headphones for those who like things done swiftly, it’s an impressive design feature.

The 1MORE Sonoflow headphones are black, with matching black leatherette ear-cups and red netting over the speakers, the red is a saucy flash of colour, and was also the situation with the previously covered 1MORE Comfobuds 2.

The headphones are really comfortable with generous padding on the arch that crosses the top of your head, I had no issues at all with them getting heavy or uncomfortable during my commutes to work or whilst listening to music/gaming.

There is also a 1MORE app which cleverly switches between the 1MORE products you are using as it picks them up via the Bluetooth connection, the app automatically comes up with the details of the 1MORE product you are using, and allows you to do various things such as adjust the equaliser through pre-sets or custom modes, and there’s even a section that plays soothing sounds such as distant storms, rivers, calming rain etc. I am a big fan of ASMR and anything that involves closing my eyes and relaxing - so this was a nice touch! The one thing that I really want to talk about though, is the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation).

Whenever I review any audio products, I tend to try them through various genres such as ASMR, guided meditations, various genres of music and podcasts to see how they fare. I also spend some time listening to my own music - quick plug  www.recluse.bandcamp.com – as I’m so familiar with it and can tell if the balance is off or there’s any distortion, issues with bass etc. In this case, I was listening to a particularly heavy song as I was pottering in the 1MORE app. There are three listening modes. ‘off’ which is the standard setting, ‘transparent’ which slightly reduces the overall intensity and allows you to be more aware of environmental sounds around you as you listen...and ANC, which quite frankly is like pressing a turbo boost button on a spaceship.

As I mentioned, I was listening to a particularly slow and heavy song (The Quiet Hours) at maximum volume, which certainly isn’t shy, and was more than loud enough for me, as it has a huge sound and yet maintains clarity and balance, which is awesome. I then casually tapped the ANC button on the app and actually jumped with fright at the change in volume, it was like a shotgun blast, I think it’s the first time I’ve been frightened by my own music! The headphones cancel out the environmental sounds by effectively bludgeoning you with volume. Now, I have to admit that it was impressive, but too full-on for me, personally. That said, I’ve had many conversations over the years with people – usually metalheads – who yearn for louder headphones, and I feel very comfortable in saying that the 1MORE Sonoflow is easily sitting on the throne in the Kingdom of Astonishing Volume.

SUMMARY

I have been extremely impressed with the value that 1MORE offers in their products, and the Sonoflow headphones continue that trend.

If you are after headphones that offer generous battery life, an included sturdy carry case, fast charging and incredible variety in the customisation available – including mind-blowing volume – then I heartily recommend the 1MORE Sonoflow Wireless Active Noise Cancelling Headphones for your listening needs.
