LONDON GAMES FESTIVAL PREDICTS THE FUTURE OF VIDEO GAMING AND CELEBRATES ITS CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL PAST

This year, the Mayor of London backed London Games Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary. To mark this milestone, the festival is inviting the industry and general public to join in with two special anniversary events at the inaugural New Game Plus event on Thursday 3rd April at the London Museum (EC2Y 5HN).

Time Capsule Panel (11am, Thursday 3rd April)
The Time Capsule Panel, hosted by Sir Ian Livingstone CBE, pioneer and legend of the global video game industry and co-founder of both Games Workshop (Warhammer) and Eidos (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider), will explore the last 10 years in gaming and offer predictions for the next decade. The predictions, along with others made by members of the industry and the general public, will be placed inside a sealed time capsule, whereupon it’ll be housed at the National Videogame Museum for the next 10 years.

Interview opportunities at the Time Capsule Panel event include: Sir Ian Livingstone (our host for the panel), Gina Jackson (Founder of Skillfull, co-founder of Pitchify), George Osborn (Video Games Industry Memo, industry expert and journalist), Shay Thompson (industry expert and presenter), Phil Stuart (Preloaded), and Dr Imogen Kaufman (PhD Student).

Media opp: please do let us know if you would also like to contribute to the predictions time capsule! We would love for you to respond to this email with what you think might happen in the video game industry over the next 10 years. This will then be sealed in the capsule to be opened in 2035!
