In my previous article I covered numbers 10 to 6 of the Best Video Games that I played at EGX Rezzed 2017.

Today I will be counting down from 5 to 1, so here we go….

Having spent a solid number of hours at the Video Games Expo known as EGX Rezzed, I thought it would be good to countdown the best games of the show.

Now let me caveat this with the fact that although I did manage to play a lot of games there were still quite a few titles that I didn't get a chance experience.

So these aren't necessarily the best 10 games of the show but the 10 best (or most intriguing) ones of those that I did get some hands on time with.

I’ve been sitting here thinking about what products would make a video game collectors life that bit easier and also what are the most common problems for a collector of video games.

The recurring theme I seem to come across is the need to store a whole library of video games and video games related magazines and books.

This got me thinking and I was sure that there must be something out there that has been purpose built to solve this video gamer problem.

☆ When Football Video Games Ruled My World! ☆

When I think back to all of the video game genres that I have played over the many years that I have been a gamer there is one genre of video game that I spent the first 20 years of my gamer life playing the most. 

In fact, I would say that I obsessed over this genre to the detriment of playing any other genre of game at the time. At this point in my life, I was completely devoured by the need to find the perfect football video game (soccer).

☆ Pang Man Part 27 - Persona 5, Hands On first impressions at EGX Rezzed! ☆

On Thursday I took the day off work to check out the Video Games Exhibition known as EGX Rezzed. Located in Tobacco Dock near Wapping in London, it was pretty easy to get to, just a short journey on the DLR.

I was super excited to go. A day of playing new unreleased games, I mean what's not to like!

The sensible thing, of course, would have been for me to plan what I was going to see in some sort of strategic fashion. However, instead, I kind of ambled around trying out video games that caught my eye.

☆ Review: Thimbleweed Park "The Point & Click Master Returns!" ☆

I’ve had the pleasure of the Thimbleweed Park video game in my life for the past two weeks and I knew that when it came to collecting my thoughts it would take lots of self-discipline to align everything I wanted to say without gushing too much about how great this game is…….

BUT….

Can I just start by saying that I'm pleased to say that this game is great!

☆ Review: Bear With Me (Episode 1) "Help Amber & Ted E Bear Solve A Point N Click Mystery" ☆

Exordium games is a Croatian video games studio founded in 2014, their website shows that they have released six video games in the space of three years and all seem to be of varying genres. I must admit that I haven’t had the fortune to play their other titles (although some definitely caught my eye) and so this is my first experience with the developer.

Within the first few moments of being given Bear With Me to review, I knew I’d be in safe hands when the launch trailer music reminded me of soundtrack to the mighty 7th Guest. Also, being a sucker for point and click adventure games with a self-aware Noir feel (Tex Murphy, Grim Fandango, Gemini Rue etc.) my hopes were instantly raised and after playing the game for some time I can safely say that those hopes were met and indeed, surpassed.

☆ London's First Virtual Reality Arcade Is COMING JUNE 2017! ☆

So London is finally getting its first Virtual Reality Arcade in June 2017!

Not only that, it's also getting a great place to meet friends, eat, drink and listen to awesome music from guest DJ's.

Throw into the mix some retro gaming delights and I think I have found this summer's must-see London venue!

☆ Battle Princess Madelyn The Long Awaited Sequel To Super Ghouls N Ghosts!? ☆

Battle Princess Madelyn - PC (PRE-ALPHA BUILD)

The Video GameKickstarter campaign for Battle Princess was funded in Just 5 Days! 

The clamour to back this game has been phenomenal and I can see why.

This video game has been made with love. It was inspired by a conversation with the developer's daughter as he played through Ghouls N Ghosts and his daughter said she'd like to be in the game. At that point, the idea was born and the creative process began!

I have been lucky enough to get my hands on a Pre-Alpha build of the game to see what the fuss is all about and I'm happy to say that I totally get it and I'm excited to see the finished game.

☆ Play The Free Computer Museum Video Game It's ZX Spectrum-Tastic! ☆

The Computer Spiele Museum In Berlin Was The First Dedicated Video Games Museum And Now They Have Just Released Their Very Own Video Game Entitled "Museum Guide" That Tasks You With Finding The Missing Video Games That Have Gone Missing From The Museum!

☆ Review: Dark Fear "Pixel Art Horror At Its Best" ☆

Dark Fear - PC

Dark Fear is a mouse-driven horror RPG/Adventure game developed by Arif Games, originally released as a mobile title in 2015, it has been ported to PC and released via Steam with added audio fidelity. 

Arif Games have several other well-received casual / indie titles under their belt, but this is their first foray into Horror territory, how did it turn out? 

Very well, in my opinion.
