Well, I've gone and done something with my Mean Machines Magazine collection that I've always wanted to do but have never got round to doing until now.

For some reason, I wanted to catalogue all the reviews from Issue 0 to 24 so that if I ever need to refer to a physical edition of Mean Machines then I know exactly what issue I need to look at.

Yes it's nerdy and yes it is a bit silly but I think that it's something that you probably didn't realise you need but you do now!

Who Here Would Love To See A NEW One Off Special Issue Of Mean Machines Magazine?

Well ever since the special edition of Super Play 48 came out with Retro Gamer Magazine I have dreamed of a Mean Machines equivalent.

Julian "Jaz" Rignall has commented on Twitter that he would be interested in doing it if only he could step round the EMAP Copyright stuff.

So just for fun I have mocked up a Mean Machines Kickstarter....

Would YOU Back It?

When I was a young inexperienced gamer in the mid 80's to early 90's graphics were one of the first things that I looked for in a game.

Maybe that's a superficial mindset but you have to remember that I was only 8 years old and having been brought up on Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Atari visuals that were hit n miss in terms of quality, any advancement in graphics were always met with an open mouthed disbelief as I witnessed either the latest hardware blowing my mind or maybe an example of someone being ultra clever and resourceful with the current hardware of the time.

So, who is this Pang Man you speak of?

Well, Pang Man grew up playing Super Nintendo and reading some of the finest video gaming publications of the 90's.

Over the years he has built up an extensive gaming knowledge from the consoles of yesteryear.

Pang Man was an early adopter of the import game scene in the 90's and owned one of those cool Universal game adapters for his beloved SNES.

Over the next few weeks, he will be looking back at some of the greatest video gaming magazines of the 90's, so sit back, relax and soak up the retrogaming goodness

Mean Machines Magazine -

The Greatest Video Games Magazine Of All Time?

I've just been through the process of moving home and i've had the unenviable task of sifting through all of the junk in my loft.
As I was toiling away separating the junk I wanted to keep from the junk that I wanted to throw away, I stumbled upon on a sellotaped up heavy box.

As I opened the sealed box I saw the unmistakable cover of my favourite games magazine ever.....MEAN MACHINES!
